Gentle malt sweetness. A crisp, dry finish. Properly refreshing.

We are not here to recreate the beers of the past. We take something more important from them: the idea that good beer belongs to the place in which it is made. Carefully considered, properly crafted and without unnecessary complication.

An independent, small-batch brewery in Thornton. Precise in the glass and rooted in the place that shaped it.

1086Torenton · Domesday record

Before Thornton, there was Torenton.

Long before the mills, the viaduct and the names that made this village famous, Torenton was recorded in the Domesday Book: the “enclosure of thorns”.

The settlement endured conquest, upheaval and change. That history is not the product. It is the ground beneath it.

Interlocked T and B with a sword running through the centre

Not decoration. History.

The T and B interlock around a sword: Thornton Brewery, conquest and endurance in a single mark.

Its blackletter form looks back to the written world in which Torenton was first recorded. The blade runs through the centre. The past does not sit beside the brewery; it gives the brewery its backbone.
